Reading Extended Day Program: Before and After School Care is looking for:

After School Care -- Teacher

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Hours: 39 hours biweekly, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 2:30-6:00PM & Wednesday from 12:30-6:00pm

Part-Time, Hourly, Position is eligible for paid time off, sick pay, and holiday pay

Salary: Negotiable

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field and three months experience working with elementary school-aged children, or associates degree and 9 months experience working with school-aged children. Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.

Alerts Head Teacher immediately of any student issues, injuries, accidents, incidents
Assists Head Teacher in:
-Maintenance of space, materials, equipment, inventory, backpacks, medications, program binders
-Maintenance of cleanliness and upkeep of all school space used by Extended Day
-Planning and implementing daily, weekly activities
-Communication with parents
Ensures confidentiality of all student information
Name-to-face attendance of all students, and engages in constant counting
Follows all program policies, regulations, routines and restrictions, reports any issues to supervisor
Attends all Staff Meetings
Assist in supervision and safety of all students
